McCanns are excellent-sounding solo or band reeds. Newer style McCann Reeds are available in Easy and Medium strengths only. McCann pipe chanter reeds are made in Scotland.

What's the difference between the old and new style McCann reeds? The old style McCann is a slope design with thicker cane, and the new style reed is ridge cut.

Easy strength McCann Reeds have a Green thread binding

Medium strength McCann Reeds have a Black thead binding.
